LunaSalsa is our most authentic salsa as it is an original recipe of our company president's mother from Mexico.  This salsa is tomatillo based.  For those unfamiliar with tomatillos, they are a small green husk tomato that dates back to at least 800 B.C. and are believed to have been domesticated by the Aztecs.  The tart flavor has hints of lemon, green apples, and herbs.  We recommend this salsa with quesadillas, as a relish on brats and hot dogs, as a garnish on beef, chicken, eggs, fish and pork or serve with tortilla chips.  16 ounce jar.
